Oh God, I've been there, trying to sleep under a towel on the floor on holiday next to a child's cot! Reassuringly have forgotten which child or exactly why
I think it's a rites of passage for all parents, isn't it? Ha, yes, I often look back at the baby days with rose-tinted glasses and forget just how tough it was at times.
But do sea urchins have eyes? My friend Fiona was arguing with her boyfriend once and he was looking at his phone and she snatched the phone off him and he'd been reading a page called How Do Sharks Sleep?
When my son was teething he had it BAD. He had one set of teeth where he had to be held or balled his eyes out. We were rotating calpol and baby nurofen. It lasted 2 weeks. We were exhausted.
This takes me back to those early months. They’re so sweet at that age, but they can also be little torture devices, denying you sleep and comfort in ways that I’m pretty sure are banned by the Geneva Conventions.
As parents of small children, we’re all a bit lost in the woods where very few of us get the privilege of sleeping well 😅 My 13-month-old has been in a phase of waking up at 4:45 am, and my eldest (3.5) at 5 am. I’m just hoping they’ll sleep better by the time they’re five! 🫠
Yep, you are absolutely right. I know a handful of (infuriating!) people whose babies/toddlers were great sleepers but for the majority of people, it is really, really tough going in those early days.
Hang in there, I promise it gets easier (our boys are 6 and 8 now and sleep soundly most nights.)

Thanks for reading, Cooky!

Haha. I like the sound of this guy a lot.
Sea urchins don’t have eyes but they can still see apparently?!
Can you imagine the pain of wisdom teeth coming in (the only thing we can relate to), but tons of them?! Poor kid xx
I know, bless him. I possibly didn't show enough sympathy in this post but assure you I did feel bad for him at the time!
This was 5 years ago and, coincidentally, he's just got his first wobbly tooth this week.
Cheers for reading!

Oh, jeez, it's so tough, isn't it? It's awful to see them in pain, of course, but being up all night is so, so hard!
Thanks for reading, Heather!
Yep. It was tough. Thankfully he is now 20 and his sister due to turn 19 shortly

Haha. It's just such a whirlwind of joyous moments and absolute sleep-deprived horror, eh?!
Thanks for reading, man.

Ah, I remember those days 🥹
Love Beeston!
